What is Actos?
Actos® (pioglitazone) is an oral diabetes medication that is made by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company and then co-marketed in the United States by Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals. The purpose of Actos® is to control Type-2 diabetes by lowering blood glucose levels while increasing the patient's sensitivity to insulin. It can either be prescribed on its own or combined with other ingredients.
